Intel Ivy Bridge-E: Debut at The Beginning of September

The next generation of Intel processors intended for the enthusiast segment of the desktop PC market will see the debut of the following code-named Ivy Bridge-E. It is the CPU that reflect the basic features of the Sandy Bridge-E solutions currently on the market, introducing some improvements which are in fact borrowed from the system implemented by Intel's Ivy Bridge CPU than Sandy Bridge.

The main element of discontinuity concerns the production technology that goes 22nm: This allows you to get a lower fuel consumption at the same clock frequency but these new versions continue to maintain the data for the 130 Watt TDP. These processors also integrate PCI Express 3.0 controller and boast a quantifiable increase in clock frequencies from 100 MHz to 200 MHz depending on the model compared to the corresponding versions of Sandy Bridge-E.

As we see from the table below will be 3 versions of Ivy Bridge-E processor placed on the market by Intel official debut.
They always remain available two types of processor versions for platforms LGA 2011 socket, with, respectively, 4:06 cores. It does not change the architecture of the memory controller, always type in combination with quad channel DDR3-1866. Continues to be present HyperThreading technology, due to which the number of threads that can be processed simultaneously is twice that of the physical cores, while Turbo Boost technology ensures an increase of the clock frequency that which reaches the maximum in the model 4 GHz Core i7-4960X.

The marketing of these processors was initially indicated by the end of the year, but the latest information from the site VR-Zone indicate for the days between the 4th and the 11th of September 2013, the period of the launch of these CPUs. This fact coincides with the timing of the Intel Developer Forum Fall 2013 event that the American company will organize in San Francisco between 10 and 12 September.
